Yes, we all know that removing dead skin cells helps to brighten our complexion - making us look less grey and tired - but it also renews cell turn over. Peels work deeper than a granular exfoliator, so if you want to target fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, sun damage or problematic skin, a peel can improve these areas. In essence, letting your beautiful face shine through again. Hurrah!
At Imogen’s we offer Flower Enzyme, Gly Pro Peel and Hydra Radiance peels. These products have been researched and developed with nourishing plant derivatives and firming, anti-oxidising and repairing active ingredients. Our therapists will assess your individual skin needs before commencing treatment to ensure you are getting the very best from your Peel.
The Flower Enzyme treatment is good for someone who has sensitive skin, is new to having a peel treatment and for all skin types in general. It is a superficial exfoliation/peel that can help to prepare your skin for deeper peels. The flower extracts are mild organic acids which gently stimulate and tone the skin while providing antioxidant protection. This treatment can be repeated every 14 days, there is no 'downtime' and you may only experience slight redness which will subside after a couple of hours. *If you are sensitive to Bromelain or pineapple, we don't recommend having this Peel treatment.*
The Gly Pro Peel treatment is a 30% Glycolic peel - fast acting and versatile acid exfoliant which is suitable for most skin types. This peel will help to regenerate and effectively aid in oily, problematic skin and also improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone and texture. You will have to follow a two-week skin routine at home prior to having this treatment as the skin will need to be prepared. This treatment can be done every 3-4 weeks. You may experience some redness and slight flakiness. *A minimum of 3 treatments is recommended to get the full benefit of this Peel.*
The Hydra Radiance Peel treatment is a 20% Lactic Acid. This peel will hydrate, brighten and smooth your skin, while promoting wound healing, reducing itching and hydrating. It will help with the appearance of fine lines and pigmentation. Antioxidants help to repair cell damage and strengthen the skin. You will have to follow a two-week skin routine at home prior to having this treatment as the skin will need to be prepared.
